Welcome to Space Space Defender is a 2D arcade space shooter blending twin-stick action with RPG progression. Crafted by a solo French developer, this dynamic cosmic adventure is playable in English or French with full controller support . Explore and Fight Freely Journey through three unique galaxies , each with polished visuals and escalating challenges. Your ship evolves, but so do your foes! Take on missions at stations: wipe out enemy squadrons, defend outposts, or escort vulnerable ships. Repel the Threat Battle Drones wreaking havoc across sectors. Wield a diverse arsenal – laser cannons, guided missiles, automated turrets, and more – to prevail. Pilot with precision, as every equipped item affects visuals and gameplay. Level Up Your Game Earn credits from missions to upgrade your ship or purchase stronger models, like the Orion Cruiser or Vulture Frigate . Equip over 50 items (Cobra batteries, Hornet shields) and manage energy to optimize performance. Liberate each galaxy by aiding stations, building toward an epic final mission (coming soon ™ ) . Space Defender is a top-down 2D arcade space shooter with some RPG elements.

Players play as the Space Defender. Their mission is to protect the Star Base from attacking aliens, fireballs and start pods. If any of these objects collide with the Star Base, it will be destroyed. Players start their mission with three ships; each time they sustain a hit they will lose 20% of their energy. An alarm will sound when a ship has only 20% energy remaining. At different point levels shields will automatically be recharged by drawing power out of the alien ships. Laser will also fire behind the ships in case an alien gets past. The aliens are stronger than they seem. Each alien ship must be hit by a laser 5 times to be destroyed. Missions get harder as the number of alien attack ways increases. The attackers' speed will increase and there will also be times when aliens are only visible when fired on! Aliens, Alien ships that try to impact the Star Base Fireballs, are very defenseless. Their job is to impact and destroy the Star Base. Star Pods, small destructive pods that move quickly. The most dangerous of all the enemy attackers. Their laser is so powerful that one hit will destroy a ship.
