Description from Steam STEAM
Folk Tales: Alageyik tells a dark story inspired by Turkish myths. A hunter who has lost his family shoots a deer during a hunt at sunset. In that moment, darkness takes shape and Erlik appears. This encounter drags him into a night full of nightmares. When he awakens, the Ala Geyik stands before him—calling him to a journey where he must face his past, the loss of his family, and the darkness within himself. The story unfolds as a personal reckoning, where dream and reality intertwine. Erlik is the ruler of the underworld in Turkic mythology. Once a being tasked with creation, he was punished for defying God. Now, he is the lord of death and darkness; he commands decayed souls and stands as a symbol of forgotten justice. The Alageyik is a silhouette that appears in the night; neither fully real nor entirely imagined. In Turkish folk tales, it is known as a sacred, mysterious, and untouchable being. In the game, pursuing it is not just a hunt—it is a confrontation with darkness, the past, and destiny.
Description from IGDB IGDB
Folk Tale is a single-player fantasy village builder RPG game in which you lead a ragtag band of peasants in growing a small settlement into a thriving market town, while dastardly minions plot your downfall. Sound the rallying call and head out into the wilds with parties of heroes and fight back the tide of evil in a game of endless possibilities. Rule with tyranny and oppression, or liberalism and justice. Play as a merciless expansionist hell-bent on destruction, or as a gold-hoarding mercantilist who'll sell their own grandmother. With random events and dynamic story, in Folk Tale you never know how the story will unfold. Folk Tale is inspired by Warcraft 3, The Settlers, Banished, The Guild 2, Majesty 2 and Black and White 2.
