Pokémon Edición Team Rocket is a full-length ROM hack of Pokémon FireRed developed by Dragonsden. Unlike traditional Pokémon games, this fan-made adventure puts the player in the role of a Team Rocket grunt, offering a completely new storyline, characters, and objectives. Set in the Kanto region, the game features custom events, modified maps, unique dialogues, and original gameplay progression. Later versions include access to the Sevii Islands and even the Johto region, making it a large-scale expansion with dozens of hours of new content. The game is entirely in Spanish and is one of the most ambitious Team Rocket-themed hacks available. It is not affiliated with Nintendo or Game Freak, and is intended for non-commercial, fan-made purposes only.

Storyline IGDB

You begin your journey as a low-ranking recruit at Team Rocket’s headquarters on Inta Island, part of the Sevii Islands. Your goal is to rise through the ranks by successfully completing the missions assigned to you by your superiors. The story takes place during the same timeline as the original Red and Blue adventures. Eventually, you’ll be transferred to Kanto, where you’ll witness key events from the classic Pokémon storyline — but from the perspective of a Team Rocket member. You'll uncover what was happening behind the scenes (with a nod to fan theories), aiming to keep everything as canon-compliant as possible while still introducing a few surprises. This ROM hack allows you, as an anonymous Rocket grunt, to do everything in your power to change the classic outcome where Team Rocket and Giovanni are ultimately defeated by Red. The twist lies in giving a so-called villain the opportunity to fight back using your own skills as a player, creating an interesting clash between your actions and the canonical events we all know
