10⁵⁰ years in the future, the final spark of life is about to be extinguished.
All stars in the universe have long since gone out. And nothing of humanity remains. Trawl the husks of past civilizations that litter the space around black holes for any scrap of hope. Encounter machines that have long since gone mad, toiling for an eternity without purpose. Your only solace is a small research ship that will take you further and further from the faint memory you once called "Earth".
What will you do to survive? Moreover, what will your legacy be?
Stellar Terminus is a retro-themed dungeon crawling RPG with modern conveniences. Explore desolate planets, moons, space installations, starships, and everything in between. Fight through harsh battles and grow ever-stronger in a multitude of ways. Retreat to the safety of your base when your supplies run low to resupply and re-evaluate your strategy. There, you can study, dismantle, and craft equipment to outfit your team. Learn about the advanced civilizations that once inhabited our universe, and what has become of their now-independent mechanical creations.
- Multifaceted procedural generation algorithms extend their logic and randomness across sectors, locations, and encounters.
- Risk and reward goes hand in hand. Traps and enemy encounters become deadlier as you descend deeper, but so do the treasures you will find.
- Grow stronger with every encounter by recruiting your enemies. Equip your new team with parts that suit their innate attributes, modify their stats, increase their resistances, and grant them new moves.
- Take the time to prepare for your next foray, using materials you have gathered to progress your research, providing new combat and exploration abilities.
- Prepare and execute your strategy on the 5x2 battle grid. Target weaknesses, inflict status effects, and shift enemies around in order to achieve perfect alpha strikes.
Stellar Terminus is the game I have always wanted to make, as someone who loves mecha, rpgs, and science. Through the past 7 or so years and over countless hours, I have worked on and off on this passion project, and with the help and support of my lovely friends, it is finally becoming a reality! It isn't a game for everyone, so please do try the extensive demo (containing 2 tiers/20 levels worth of content).
