Island Off Outer Darkness follows the narrative of the Postman, a resident Postal Worker in a small fishing village in Antarctic waters off the coast of the volcano Outer Darkness. They start new to the job, and must deliver packages to residents day-by-day, week-by-week. As they learn more about the island and its townsfolk, aberrations in space begin to appear. More broadly, Island Off Outer Darkness is an exploration of the grief of seeing one's community collapse, personally and communally. Featuring a 31-track OST by CalamityRhapsody and visual artistic work by several ex-RFCK members, Island Off Outer Darkness is the story of this town, and these people. Features: Live out the life of a kind of antisocial government employee in an alien place. Act out thrilling strand-type delivery simulator gameplay. Read and press buttons in a menuing and dialogue system inspired by classic RPGs. Go green with the gardening and hybridizing of over 15 otherworldly crops. The Postman, a gender-nonspecific mid-twenties youth from the mainland, new to their Postmanly job on the island. Leonargo, a scholarly sea people from the depths, fished up and localized a few years before Island Off Outer Darkness takes place.
