Lightcore Guardians is a turn-based roguelike strategy game where enemies telegraph their moves - and you respond with explosive chain attacks. Plan your team’s every move to protect the Lightcore Tower in tightly designed, puzzle-like battles. The balance of the world was shattered by the awakened dragon. The Lightcore, which sustains all light, was destroyed by the dragon. To protect the Lightcore and defend the Lightcore Tower, heroes, march forth! As the commander of the Guardians, choose a team of 3 heroes from 9 unique classes — Warrior, Rogue, Archer, Mage, Priest, Paladin, Gunner, Lancer, and Ninja — and defend the Lightcore in a series of procedurally generated tactical missions. Unlike traditional turn-based games, Lightcore Guardians features a predictive combat system inspired by 'Into the Breach': enemies show their next moves before acting, and players must respond accordingly during their own turn. Once the player ends their turn, enemies then execute their previously revealed actions. This design creates a high-stakes, highly strategic experience where foresight is key. Each battle is a unique puzzle. Protect the Lightcore. Adapt. Survive. I’m a solo developer and also the sole creator of Lightcore Guardians — including all the programming and the art (yes... even though I’m not an artist by trade, just a humble programmer 😅). This game is inspired by Into the Breach , and it’s my little tribute to that masterpiece. I’ve tried to pack in as much strategy and roguelike goodness as I could into under 50MB. That said, the game is far from perfect — it has its flaws, quirks, and bugs. I’d truly appreciate your feedback! I’ll do my best to patch, polish, and improve things based on your suggestions. In the future, I plan to keep building on this project — adding more stages, enemies, skills, rogue upgrades, and new classes. It might take time (solo dev life!), but I’m in it for the long run.
