The Tau Experiment puts you in the shoes of an employee of Tau Corporation, a major global entity with sinister plans. Over 80 hours of main story quests Choose how your character appears Multiple ways to complete each quest Branching story depending on how quests were completed Over 30 different possibilities for the end-game Classic MMORPG features Ability to group up with friends and others Form Unions to accelerate progression as a large group Immersive Gameplay Realistic graphics help to fully immerse you in the role of a Tau Corporation employee. Engaging story that changes based on how you play. Creative Solutions You are rewarded for solving quests in unique ways, creating a unique experience that changes with each playthrough. Branching Story Interactions with various objects that are hidden in each area can have an effect on how the game plays. Some items will help you, but others may make things more difficult. The story is guided by your actions. The Tau Experiment is planned to have an initial release in January 2025 at the earliest. In addition, multiple DLC expansions are planned that will expand the story further. More information about the DLC will come at a later date. The game will be released using Steam Playtesting in late 2024. The Tau Experiment was envisioned from the start to be a mix of RPG, adventure, and puzzle-solving. It also has elements of escape room games. We came up with the concept of The Tau Experiment after playing through Alien Isolation, Prey, Escape Simulator, The Stanley Parable, Portal, and SOMA. We started brainstorming ideas on what it would be like to combine elements of all those games into one. Thus, The Tau Experiment was born. The Tau Experiment has since evolved into an MMORPG with inspiration drawn from many places. You'll experience thousands of quests, an engaging end-game experience, and so much more. We're always looking for innovative ways of doing things, and The Tau Experiment as our first game is our crowning achievement.
