Description from Steam STEAM
Eclipse Breaker is a timing‑driven action roguelite that asks you to dodge, parry, and counter in real‑time combat while forging ever‑shifting builds from the divine powers you collect. Conquer procedurally generated dungeons ruled by elemental gods, recruit the lingering spirits of lost allies, and push toward a climactic showdown with the sun‑goddess Solara. Built from scratch yet wrapped in late‑’90s PlayStation flair , every run rewrites the battlefield and your fate until you finally make your last stand. Timing-Driven Action Roguelite Fast-Paced, Strategic Combat Every battle balances timing and relentless divine punishment. Dodge attacks, block incoming strikes, and reposition on the battlefield while managing cooldowns, chaining abilities, and seizing the perfect moment to strike. Ever‑Changing Divine Realms Procedurally generated dungeons shaped by the elemental gods who rule them. Defeat these celestial warriors and discover new elemental abilities, crafting new builds every run. No two runs are the same. Choose Your Allies Select from a roster of Companion Spirits, the lingering souls of Ember’s former friends and party members. They grant powerful abilities, guide her through battle, and challenge her with their own regrets, humor, and memories. Their past lives fuel your fight, and who you bring with you shapes your journey. Face Powerful Gods and Endless Foes Battle a pantheon of bosses and enemies, each with unique attack patterns, elemental abilities, and unpredictable tactics. A “Remastered” Classic… That Never Existed? In the late ‘90s, a legendary JRPG was released and all but forgotten. OK, maybe it wasn’t… But if it had, Eclipse Breaker would have been the kind of game you rented from a video store and played obsessively. Now, returning to your save file after 25 years, this lost classic is making its grand return and morphed from a classic JRPG to an action roguelite; fully “remastered” (read: developed from scratch) with smooth mechanics, enhanced visuals, and the challenge modern fans crave. The Story: A Hero Out of Time Back in ’99 you led paladin Ember toward a showdown with the rogue sun‑goddess Solara… then life (or a corrupted save) intervened. Twenty‑five years later, you’re loading that save again. Ember returns to a world still shrouded in darkness, hailed as myth by some and blamed by others. To restore the sun, she must storm the Divine Realm run after run, mastering new powers and rewriting fate until the cycle finally shatters. Developer's Note Hey everyone, I’m Jorge Rodriguez, the developer behind Eclipse Breaker. This game is a love letter to the roguelites and PlayStation-era RPGs that shaped my love for gaming: fast-paced battles, deep mechanics, and a world full of mystery and danger. We’ve had a blast crafting this ‘remaster’ of a game that never actually existed, and I hope you enjoy discovering it as much as we enjoyed making it. If you’re curious, try the demo! Your feedback means the world to us, and we’d love to hear what you think. Whether you’re here for the strategic combat, the nostalgia, or just to break the cycle, thanks for giving Eclipse Breaker a shot. Now get out there, challenge the gods, and let’s see if you can survive.

Storyline IGDB
You played Eclipse Breaker back in 1997. You fought through its relentless dungeons, battled gods, and pushed forward run after run… until life got in the way. Now, 25 years later, you're dusting off your memory card and booting it up again. But things have changed for you and its hero. You are Ember, the warrior who vanished. 25 years ago, she stood at the edge of history, ready to defeat the rogue sun goddess Solara. Then, in the blink of an eye, she was gone. Now, she’s back—only to find that the world has moved on, the sun is still missing, and everyone thinks she’s a legend… or blames her for everything. To restore the world’s light, Ember must battle through the ever-shifting Divine Realm, face elemental gods, and confront Solara herself—again and again until the cycle is broken.
