In an attempt to cure his rare disease, brilliant biochemist Dr. Michael Morbius inadvertently transformed himself into a bat-like being who unwillingly feeds on the blood of the living to survive. Now Morbius must join forces with the Midnight Suns to combat a vampyre threat sweeping across New York City in a series of new story missions. Completing these missions brings you one step closer to unlocking a bonus mission for those who own and complete all the DLC missions included in the Marvel's Midnight Suns Season Pass. As if a vampyre outbreak wasn't enough, Hydra has started infusing undead DNA into its toughest troops to create a squadron of transformed Super-Soldiers. Morbius had hoped to reverse-engineer their traits to create a serum that would let him withstand sunlight—but in the wrong hands, his research could make all of vampyre-kind unstoppable. Morbius is in good company with the Midnight Suns, having fought alongside Blade and Ghost Rider in the past. It's time for Morbius to slake his bloodlust once more and help eradicate this new evil in the process. This content requires Marvel's Midnight Suns to play and is included in the Season Pass.

As the vampyres convert Hydra troopers and attack New York, Spider-Man convinces Blade to help him recruit a mutual acquaintance of theirs, Dr. Michael Morbius. The heroes accompany Morbius to his lab, only to find the vampyres have stolen his research and a prototype "sunlight serum" capable of dampening his and the vampyres' lethal photosensitivity. After the trio fend off vampyres who came to kill Morbius and destroy his remaining equipment, Spider-Man offers Morbius sanctuary at the Abbey despite Blade and the Hunter's reluctance. Deducing the vampyres intend to mass-produce the sunlight serum, Spider-Man locates a Hydra facility under attack from vampyres led by Sin. He, Morbius, and the Hunter mobilize to stop them and recover the prototype serum, though they learn too late that she had already delivered several completed batches of sunlight serum to Dracula. Nonetheless, while fighting off Dracula and his empowered forces, the heroes discover the vampyres had diluted Morbius' sample while mass-producing it, weakening its effects. Defeated, Dracula escapes to the sewers.
